Rack 'Em Up
I feel like I’ve been working a lot on crescent shaped shawls lately, but asymmetrical shawls are still my favorite. Not only are they my favorite to knit, but they can be my favorite to gift too. I think for someone who is unfamiliar with knitting, an asymmetrical shawl that doesn’t have to be blocked is the easiest to care for by the recipient. It’s nice knowing that whoever I gift this shawl to, they can just wash it and lay it out flat to dry, with little effort in shaping it!
This flexible one skein shawl will work for your 400 yard skeins or your 460 yard skeins. Just adjust the garter border at the end for the amount of yarn you’re working with. As written, I used about 430 yards and the measurements at 76” x 13”.
Who doesn’t love a one skein shawl?! Perfect go-to project! This one has all the garter squishiness, so many of us like, and then some interesting lace breaking it up too.
