The giraffe is crocheted of plush yarn.
The size of the finished toy is 22-24 cm without horns.
You may crochet your giraffe of cotton, semi-cotton, or any yarn you like, but note, that the height of the toy will be different.
For example, the giraffe made of semi-cotton (Alize cotton gold, Yarnart jeans) is 11-12 cm high.
The pattern shows how to make a crocheted joint for the neck so that the head is movable. You can also crochet a fixed head, just skip crocheting the joint and crochet the head right after the neck.
The difficulty level is average.
You need to have initial crochet skills to follow this pattern.
Materials:
1) Yellow yarn Himalaya dolphin baby 313 (120m/100g) (Yarnart Dolce 761), 80 g;
2) Brown yarn Himalaya dolphin baby 337 (120m/100g) (Yarnart Dolce 765);
3) White yarn, Himalaya dolphin baby 301 (120m/100g) (Yarnart Dolce 741);
4) Black safety eyes, 14 mm;
5) Black yarn for embroidery (eyelashes, eyebrows, mouth);
6) Brown yarn for the tail brush;
7) Threads of correspondent colors (white, yellow and brown) for sewing the parts (nose, ears, tail, horns and spots;
8) Synthetic fiberfill;
9) Crochet hook 3-4 mm. Choose the hook according to desired crochet density and yarn type. Crochet a small template to define the right size of the hook;
10) Stitch markers, 8 pieces;
11) Pins.
