The Rag Rug Coasters are worked by crocheting with sport weight scrap yarn and changing colors every row, giving the coasters a woven look.

CROCHET LEVEL

SIZING & DIMENSIONS
This pattern comes with instructions for 1 size, but you can adapt the pattern to make any size coaster you’d like. The finished dimensions are 4 x 4 in 10 x 10 cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn: These coasters are meant to be a scrap yarn project, so any yarn that matches the gauge listed in the pattern should work. I recommend using 1 strand of sport weight cotton and changing colors every row. For my coasters I used 10 shades of Schachenmayr Catania.
Hooks: H/5 mm crochet hook or any other hook needed to obtain the gauge, and a hook that’s about 2-3 mm smaller, used to add tassels to the coaster.
Other: Stitch markers, darning needle, scissors, tape measure, and tape.

AMOUNT OF YARN NEEDED
0.5 oz 14 g of sport weight scrap yarn per coaster
