Ragdoll Mermaid Ondine
Rag dolls are available in different shapes and sizes, but they do have one thing in common: Rag dolls are real cuddly dolls. This rag doll mermaid is made with the wonderfully soft Durable Cozy fine and Cozy fine faded, which makes her nice and cuddly while crocheting. Ondine measures about 34.5 cm’s when I crochet her with a 3.0mm hook. When you go up a hooksize, she might be bigger, but proportions remain intact. This means gauge isn’t important.
The pattern for Ondine is available in Dutch and English (US) as a single pattern.
Amigurumi rag doll mermaid Ondine is a crocheted doll and the clothes she is wearing cannot be removed.
Yarn:
- Durable Cosy fine #2192 Pale Pink 1 ball of 50g
- Durable Cosy fine #289 Blue Grey 1 ball of 50g
- Durable Cosy fine faded #321 Navy 1 ball of 50g
- Durable Cosy fine #2140 Tropical Green 1 ball of 50g
- Durable Cosy fine #229 Flamingo Pink 3 balls of 50g
Hook:
This doll is crocheted with a 3.0mm hook with the suggested yarn. It’s important to crochet tight enough, since you don’t want the fiberfill to show. Also don’t crochet to tightly it’ll be a strain on your wrists. If you crochet loosely, please go down a size. If you crochet tightly go up a size. The proportions of this girl stay intact.
Gauge
12sts x 12 rounds in single crochet = 5x 5cm, crocheted using a 3.0mm hook. Gauge is not very important, because proportions will remain intact.
Notions
Needle for weaving ends, scissors, fiberfill, stitch marker.
