Raggedy Scarf
I’d wanted to try River City Yarn’s Adam & Eve for ages (both cashmere and gorgeous colour do make for a tempting yarn!). When I finally had the chance to work with it, I settled on a scarf, because it seems like a waste of good cashmere not to wrap it around the neck and snuggle into it. My love of contrasts brought the rest together: A scarf that was luxurious yet had a scruffy sort of chic when draped around the neck with a certain studied carelessness. The simple stitch pattern and ragged edges undermine the elegance, yet enhance it by underlining just how cozy it is; a great scarf for anyone to wear to add a certain je-ne- sais-quois to their outfit any time of year.
