A sweater knitted in panels, bottom-up, and seamed, with raglan sleeves and textural stripes created by dropping stitches with the help of a larger needles. It is knitted in lace weight yarn, starting with 1x1 ribbing and transitioning for the stockinette drop-stitch pattern.

It asks for 5 oz of Patons Super Scotch Fingering 2-ply (aprox. 1050 m), and the following pairs of straight needles:

  • No. 12 vintage (No. 2.75 mm today)
  • No. 10 vintage (No. 3.25 mm today)
  • No. 7 vintage (No. 4.5 mm today)

The pattern doesn’t give gauge information and it brings instructions for only one size, with the measurements being:

  • Bust 34 inches (86.5 cm)
  • Length 18 inches (45~46 cm)

The sample is knitted in a “young, delicate green” (so it is written, as the image is black and white), the shade 600 of the recommended yarn is advised and they say this design works its best in a pastel shade.

It’s advertised as a quick knit, thanks to the dropped stitches.
“Just a little care is needed in making up this jumper to see that the stripes meet exactly on every seam, most especially in the raglan shoulder lines both front and back”.
