LO QUE NECESITAS SABER PARA TEJER ESTE CHALECO:
Para tejer este chaleco es necesario saber tejer punto del derecho, del revés, montar y cerrar puntos, hacer aumentos, remontar puntos y tejer en circular.

CÓMO SE HACE:
Este chaleco se empieza tejiendo por el cuello en circular, a continuación se hacen una serie de aumentos en los hombros y se separa el delantero y el trasero para tejerlos de manera independiente (aunque los puedes tejer a la vez), para dejar el hueco de los brazos definiendo las sisas. Una vez alcanzado el tamaño de la sisa que se necesita para cada talla, se vuelve a unir en circular para tejer el resto del cuerpo. Se realiza de una sola pieza, sin ninguna costura, en punto del derecho y del revés con la hebra de Silk Me Worsted y la de Gòtic juntas.

MUESTRA:
15 puntos y 21 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4”) en punto jersey, sin bloquear.

HILO:
2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) madejas de Silk Me Worsted de Greta and the Fibers (60% merino, 40% seda; 100 g / 200 m; 3.52 oz / 218.7 yd) y 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) madejas de Gòtic de Greta and the Fibers (75% super kid mohair, 25% seda; 50 g / 420 m; 1.76 oz / 459.3 yd).
Los colores empleados en las fotografías son 912, topo claro y 915, marrón chocolate. La prenda se teje con la hebra de merino-seda y la de mohair juntas, para que la textura de la prenda sea más esponjosa.

AGUJAS:
Agujas circulares de 6 mm (US 10) con cable de 40 cm (16”) para el escote y más largo para el cuerpo, o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión (sin bloquear).
Agujas de 5.5 mm (US 9) con cable de 80 cm (32”) para rematar las sisas con magic loop, o shorties de 20 cm (8”) para no usar magic loop.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO KNIT THIS VEST:
To knit this vest you need to know how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off stitches, make increases, pick up stitches, and work in the round.

HOW IT IS DONE:
This vest is started by knitting the neckline in the round. Then, increases are made at the shoulders, and front and back are separated to be knit independently (although you can knit them at the same time), so that the armholes are created and shaped. Once the correct armhole height has been reached for each size, the front and back panels are joined again to continue knitting the rest of the body in the round. The vest is worked seamlessly in one piece, only using knit and purl stitches, and holding one strand of Silk Me Worsted and Gòtic together throughout.

GAUGE:
15 stitches and 21 rows in 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4”) in stockinette stitch, without blocking.

YARN:
2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins of Silk Me Worsted by Greta and the Fibers (60% Merino Wool, 40% Silk; 100 g / 200 m; 3.52 oz / 218.7 yd) and 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Gòtic by Greta and the Fibers (75% Super Kid Mohair, 25% Seda; 50 g / 420 m; 1.76 oz / 459.3 yd).
The colourways used in the pictures are 912, light taupe and 915, dark brown. The vest is knit holding a strand of merino-silk and a strand of mohair together, so that the texture is fluffier.

NEEDLES:
6 mm (US 10) circular needles, with a cable of 40 cm (16”) for the neckline and longer for the body, or the required needle size to obtain gauge (without blocking).
5.5 mm (US 9) circular needles, with a cable of 80 cm (32”) for finishing the armholes using magic loop, or 20 cm (8”) shorties if not using magic loop.

OTHER NOTIONS:
1 stitch marker for the beginning of the round and another one for the increases. Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
