Quite Inspired by Quilts - Rail Fence Blanket
I love the effects of patchwork, but prefer to knit!

With some leftover yarn to use up, I decided to knit squares and create a blanket. From my first trial and error attempts with colours and patterns, I have now formalised my experiments into a series of patterns inspired by patchwork quilts. This design is based on the Rail Fence block.

Knit using DK /#3/light worsted yarn, the blanket incorporates three colours to make the 6”/15cm square blocks and is finished with a mitered corner border. Experiment with different colours to create your own unique design.

Finished size = approx. 34”/86cm square. Knit more blocks to make your blanket larger or smaller or create a rectangle shape.
