Railyard Mitts
These fingerless mitts are knit in the round using slip stitch patterning and stripes. They are worked from the cuff edge up to
the hand opening. The bottom and top openings are worked in 1x1 ribbing. Thumb gussets complete the mitts for a snug fit.
You will need approximately 50 g or less of 4 fingering-weight yarn colorways to complete the mitts as written in all sizes. The pattern is presented in written form; there are no charts.
These mitts are part the larger 6-piece Santa Fe Collection, also available here on Ravelry as a downloadable eBook.
Inspiration: On February 9, 1880, the first rail cars of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Company pulled into Santa Fe. Today this railyard hub is a gathering place with a vibrant farmer’s market, galleries and artisan shops, as well as a central point for walking trails to explore the older parts of Santa Fe.
