Rainbow
I first wrote this pattern in July 2019 as a motif that could be included in a baby’s mobile. Due to Covid-19 lots of people have been asking about it so I thought I’d pop it on here so you can have a go.
All of my patterns have at least one teaching point in them and in this pattern it guides you through how to create a ‘pocket’ shape by starting with a row but adapting into rounds by working in the front and back loop separately. It’s a bit confusing at first but if you watch the video, it should all become clear! And you might pick up a couple of Lancashire dialect terms to add to your vocab!
There’s a tutorial video working through the whole pattern at https://youtu.be/0EndRVTd2wA
You can work it in any weight yarn you like, brights, pastels, shades or hues! Some of my ladies have even done it in chunky and worked 3 rounds in each colour to make a cushion. The possibilities are endless! Well, there’s a few options!
If you have any problems, as ever, give me a shout at mohocrafts@outlook.com and I’ll be happy to help! Join the community and keep up to date with workshops and patterns at www.facebook.com/mohocrafts
