This is the perfect beanie for you if you like your rainbows subtle! It’s also ideal for the beginner who wants to extend their skills a little - you only need to be able to cast-on, cast-off, knit, purl and decrease by knitting 2 stitches together.

Directions are given for head circumferences of 47, 50 and 52cm (approx 1-2 years, 2-4 years and 5-8 years) and explain how to easily adapt to fit above, on, or below ears. Suitable for knitting on straight needles or in the round.

You won’t need more than 1 x 100g skein of chunky wool in the main colour, with scrap wool in other colours for the bobbles. Use any chunky wool that gives you the correct gauge - I used Texere Yarns chunky for the beanies in the photographs.
