This rainbow beanie is crochet from the top down, starting with a main colour of white or grey and changing colours to make the rainbow bobble stripes.

The pattern is written in US terms with abbreviations for UK.

Preemie 11-12 inches 4 inches tall
Newborn 12.5-13.5 inches x 4.5 inches tall
0-3 months 13.5-15.5 inches x 5 inches tall
3-6 months 15-17 inches x 5.5 inches tall
6-12 months 16-18 inches x 6 inches tall
1-3 years 17.5-19.5 inches x 6.5 inches tall

Gauge square
Using a 3.5mm hook
Row1 Ch11, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc next 8. (9)
Row2-5 ch1 hdc in base of ch1, hdc all. (9)
The square should measure 5cm x 5cm.

You will need:
3.5mm hook
Main colour 50g white or grey Dk / light worsted / 8ply yarn
Small amounts of pastel colours, pink, peach, lemon, mint, blue and lilac in Dk / light worsted / 8ply
