I designed this pattern for a blanket that I made for a charity in my home town - wheelchairs for kids. They send a 90x90cm blanket to each child who receives one of their wheelchairs. This is a perfect chance to use up cheap acrylic yarn as I have used it in the border and the coloured stripes in the middle of a good quality acrylic so the blanket is still lovely and soft!

I used close to 4 balls of the main colour and used 4 different colours for the stripes and border - all from my stash
