Rainbow Bucket Bag
This knit and felt rainbow bucket bag is knitted on 2 needles in stocking stitch, and uses simple increases through out for the shaping.
The base is a single colour and the stripes create a rainbow which grows out into the frill.
The base requires 35g (70m 77yds) of black.
and a further 7x 45g ( 90m 98yds) in each of red, orange,yellow, green blue, light purple and dark purple felting wool.
You could of course create you own colour pallet or even knit it in a single colour.
This small bag is 18cm (7” ) high x 20cm( 8”) wide excluding the frill
The 3 page pattern gives full detailed instructions for knitting , making up and felting and shaping the bag.
This felt bag would make an ideal project bag to tote your latest knitting in progress with you.
Knitted using 1 strand of DK / 8ply pure wool – Handwash yarn.
Recommended yarn Double Knit or Worsted weight felting wool.
To obtain a thick felt with no visible stitches ensure your yarn is 100%
pure handwash only wool
Beware of “Superwash” it will not felt!!
