This pattern makes a 45 inch square blanket but resizing is simple.
This blanket is inspired by Geek Girls love of MY Little Ponies, Unicorns and Rainbows. One evening she commented that it was unfair that The Clone has a blanket made by me but she does not (they both had crochet blankets made by me but they, one at a time, got accidentally boil washed, I am not good with washing), The Clone’s blanket is a very simple hand sewn quilt that I made before Geek Girl was even a thought. So off I went, what sort of blanket would my crazy, creepy, cute, child like, well, with Rainbow Dash being her favorite pony rainbows were my obvious starting place, but how to make it special????
By working in to the horezontal bar of HDCs/HTRCs and working TWO rainbows on alternate rows (one backwards one forwards) when you view the blanket on a level plane only ONE rainbow is visible. Using such chunky soft yarn not only makes this blanket super speedy (a dash if you will) to work up but also makes for a super soft fluffy blanket that gets carted from room to room for snuggles.
Includes two PDFs, UK and US terms.
