These beautiful leg warmers were inspired by the gorgeous colours of the rainbow and the rain as shown by the fairisle detail which looks like rainbow rain drops. This design is part of a collection of four patterns with the Rainbow Drops motif (which includes leg warmers, hand warmers, pullover, and cowl).

The leg warmers are knit in the round with 5mm (8US) double pointed needles from the bottom ribbed edging, then in the fair isle detail, and then with the top ribbed edging.

The pattern includes instructions for four sizes: X-Small, Small, Medium, Large. The corresponding blocked measurements for these sizes are: Circumference - 10 (12, 14, 16)” / 25.5 (30.5, 35.5, 40.5) cm and Length - 16” (40.5cm).

The sample is knit with worsted weight, Rios, Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool, worsted), 100 grams/192m (210 yards) per skein, skeins in:

• 1 (1, 1, 1) skein Camaleon (684), 192m (210 yards), Contrast Colour (CC)
• 2 (2, 2, 2) skeins Ivory (704), 384m (420 yards), Main Colour (MC)

However there are lots of other potential great colour combinations!

The pattern includes charts for the fair isle.
