Rainbow Explosion Socks
Can you imagine rainbows exploding in the sky? That idea led to this design, intended to tame highly variegated yarn by exploding it with texture. My goal in this design is to help tame pooling, and while it may not completely eliminate it with every skein - it will absolutely help break it up! Grab your prettiest variegated yarn that’s been hiding in your stash, this pattern is made for it!
I created this pattern with the intention of providing a thoroughly detailed pattern for beginners and an entertaining knit for intermediate knitters. The pattern is broken into 3 separate 11 page PDFs (one for each size) for your convenience. A thoroughly detailed Tutorial PDF is included as a 4th PDF, which includes 8 pages of picture tutorials, written tutorials, and links to exclusive video tutorials to help guide any ‘new to socks’ knitter through the pattern. A very thorough ‘true’ Afterthought Heel tutorial is included within this PDF.
The pattern includes 3 different sizes for the socks, charted and written directions, and a detailed Tutorial PDF. Trust me when I say - if you ever wanted to learn how to knit socks (or even an afterthought heel alone), this is the pattern for you!
