These mitts require both knit and crochet techniques to make.

I love how fun & bright these mitts are! They’re the perfect project when you can’t decide if you feel like knitting or crocheting! The main portion of the mitts are made knitting in the round, while the rainbow trim is achieved by crocheting, using fpsc and bpsc.

You can make these as stand-alone fingerless mitts, or there is an option to make a cap that can be attached for easy conversion to a mitten whenever the wearer chooses.

2 sizes are included: a Small/Med version which fits a hand circumference of approx 6” to 7” (measuring the circumference of the palm, directly above and excluding the thumb). Also, a Med/Large version which fits a circumference of approx 7” to 8”.

My favorite version is the bright, beautiful rainbow version that I designed for my 9 year old (s/m size), but my teenage daughter requested a more neutral colored version (m/l size) which is also very pretty. The color combos are endless!

My daughters liked that the thumb is left fingerless, making it easy for them to still use their devices, even with the mitten cap in place.

The pattern is 10 pages long and includes photos.
