Easy, light, cosy and fun, Rainbow Guernsey Cowl is worked in the round and bottom-up in the traditional Guernsey style, with this touch of fancy and joy that rainbow colors give to any accessory!

But the rainbow is not mandatory : the beautiful Guernsey pattern that flows through the cowl allows any other color combination, or even a version in plain or variegated color.

I chose Cheval blanc Babylux to knit it, because of its softness, well-defined texture and the beautiful rainbow colors, but any other well-defined yarn of your choice that hits gauge will be OK for your own version.

Rainbow Guernsey Cowl comes in one adult size (M/L):
Circumference : 24 in. (60 cm).
Length : 11 in. (28 cm).
The size is easily adaptable : tips are provided so that you can adapt the circumference and the length.

Skills required are : cast on, knit and purl in the round, bind off.

Instructions are written, a chart is provided for the textured pattern.

Rainbow Guernsey Cowl est tricoté en rond dans le style traditionnel de l’ile de Guernesey, avec cette touche de fantaisie qu’apporte le changement de couleurs rappelant un arc-en-ciel.
Mais l’arc-en-ciel n’est pas obligatoire : la texture est suffisamment intéressante et originale pour autoriser sa réalisation dans une autre combinaison de couleurs ou en uni.
Le motif de Guernesey est un des plus simples parmi ceux de ce style.
Sa réalisation ne demande que quelques techniques de base (jersey endroit et envers, tricot en rond, montage et rabattage des mailles) et un peu d’attention.
Il est bien détaillé dans les explications, et j’ai ajouté un diagramme pour vous aider à le réussir.
Pour créer Rainbow Guernsey Cowl, j’ai choisi un fil bien défini et très agréable à tricoter (Cheval blanc Babylux), mais tout autre fil compatible avec l’échantillon peut être employé.
Ce modèle unisexe est proposé en taille unique adulte (circonférence 60 cm – hauteur 28 cm).
Cependant, il est facile de l’adapter en hauteur en enlevant ou en ajoutant une ou plusieurs répétitions du motif.
