This vibrant hat does not require any knowledge of colorwork. The climbing ladder effect is created by slipping stitches and will work in any number of colors, even a single one!

The recommended yarn is variegated, but you can use scraps of various colors to achieve the same effect. Instructions provided for changing colors. You can also use a single color, but the ladder effect will be somewhat muted.

The oversize needles make this a quick knit (put on a movie and you’ll be done when it is!) and also provide lots of stretch.
