A pattern to make a unicorn standing on 4 legs with Pegasus wings and a rainbow mane

Crochet this cute little unicorn yourself. It would make a perfect gift for a child, or anyone who loves unicorns. Or of course you could keep it
yourself!

Intermediate Beginner pattern (some crochet knowledge is useful although only basic stitches are required).
Using the materials suggested this pattern makes a unicorn that is 5 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Any yarn can be used, but using a heavier weight yarn will result in a larger unicorn. Use an appropriate size crochet hook for the yarn you use in order to get a fairly tight tension (a good alternative is worsted weight yarn (dk) and a 3.5mm hook). No required tension, as long as it’s fairly tight so the stuffing doesn’t show through the holes. Only one skein of one colour necessary to complete the pattern.

Materials:
4ply yarn in required colours (yarn used for picture was DMC petra 3 and Twilley’s Goldfingering)
2.5mm crochet hook
Googly safety eyes (required if giving to a young child, but if not then sewing on beads or buttons could work well too).
Polyester toy stuffing
