The crochet hook is used for adding the beads. A piece of tigertail or beading wire bent double will work for this purpose as well.

Approximately 800 size 6/0 (E) beads needed for this project.

Edit! Here is a little video I made to show adding the beads. I created a little gadget out of jewelry wire that allows me to pre-load a row’s worth of beads at a time. I will add this to my project pages and to the pattern itself.

The wire I used is 26-gauge jewelry wire.
