Rainbow Road Ankle Socks
This simple sock pattern includes instructions on how to make a textured ankle/no-show sock. There are three sizes available, and the pattern can be easily adjusted for different foot lengths/shoe sizes. The textured pattern makes a thick and comfy fabric with fingering weight yarn. While you can use tonal, self-striping, or solid color yarns, this pattern will be particularly stunning with highly variegated indie-dyed colorways.
I do recommend knitting short ankle socks because the textured pattern is stretchy, but does pull in slightly. It makes for a great no-show style sock this way. If you really want a longer sock, I would do the textured pattern on both the front and back of the leg.
This pattern is designed to be used with a 50g skein of fingering weight yarn for the main color, as well as a 20g mini skein for a contrast heel and toe.
