The waistband is worked in ss working into the back loops only to create a ribbed effect. Every 2 rows of ss creates 1 rib. This is useful to recognise when working the first Row of dc into the Row ends. Be aware the waistband takes a long time to make but the rest of the skirt is simple and crochets up quickly. The main skirt is worked in rows to begin with then joined in the round and turned to work back and forth to maintain the pattern.
