Rainbow slouchy appliqued with big flower

This hat is called slouchy. It is quite a big hat. Definition of the slouchy is: soft and relatively unstructured; not tight-fitting or rigid in shape. Yes, I could agree with this definition. You have to find own best way, how to wear it, but from my point of view – it is really comfortable hat. All girls from our family just love this hat with reall big flower on the side :-)

Suggested material for the hat
Yarn Weight: Worsted / 10 ply (9 wpi)
e.g. Sugar ‘n Cream Solids and Denim by Lily
Yardage: 120 yards (110 meters)
Unit weight: 70 grams (2.47 ounces)
Gauge (crochet tension): 13 SC = 4”(10 cm)
Fibers: 100% Cotton
Texture: 4 single plies, S-plied, non-mercerized
Colors:
Yellow 0073, Orange 1628, Red 00095, Hot Pink 01740, Black currant 1318, Mod Blue 18111, Hot green 1712, White 0001.
You will need about 117 (125) grams of yarn totally.
Hook: I used a hook 4.5 mm (U.S. hook 7)

Other materials: common sewing threads and needle, 1 button average 1.5 cm.

Size of finished hat: the size of finished hat depends on used material and your own style of crocheting. Please remember that, if you will use another material, the final size could be different. Also the gauge is very important by crocheting of the hat, so please take the attention to the gauge and make the sample.

This pattern is written for two sizes:
Child size: circumference of the hat is 20 -21 inches (51 – 53 cm)
Adult size: circumference of the hat is 22 -23 inches (54 – 58 cm)

Level of the pattern: beginner/intermediate

Chain (CH)
Slip stitch (SlSt)
Single crochet (SC)
Double crochet (DC)
Half double crochet (HDC)
Increasing (inc): 2 SC in same stitch
Decreasing (dec): crochet 2 SC together
