Rainbow Spiral Baby Blanket
Updated to include photo tutorial and more detailed descriptions.
This was created for the child of one of my closest friends. Acrylic yarn was chosen for its hard wearing, easy care qualities that I find essential in any items intended for much use and love by babies and their busy mums.
Materials:
• 4.5mm crochet hook
• yarn needle
• 6 split ring stitch markers (to use as stitch holders when changing colours)
• 1 x 100g each of 7 different colours of Moda Vera Marvel 8ply Acrylic, 6 colours for the central spiral, 1 for the border. This pattern should work with any 8ply yarn, but it is essential to use the same brand for all 7 colours so consistency of gauge between colours is achieved.
Finished Size:
Approximately 96cm square
Stitches Used:
slip stitch, single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc)
Free Extra
Also included is a free pdf containing suggestions for creating your own Working Yarn Management System so you can avoid tangles while using 6 working yarns at once.
