This square crochet pattern is a beginner level motif pattern, for making a pretty rainbow-colored crochet baby Afghan, to keep your baby warm and cozy

The pattern works well in rainbow colours, but will also work in any other colour combination you like.

It’s an easy-to-follow pattern and repetitive after the first few rows, so you can relax with it and continue crocheting to any size square blanket you choose.

You can also crochet part of the motif, to create small squares in any size, and join them to make a blanket, bag, table runner and more.

The pattern includes two PDF files:

1. Detailed step by step photo tutorial.
2. File without pictures for printing the pattern.

Both are written in US English terms.

It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the pattern by following the photo tutorial first.
The printable version is best used when you already know the pattern.

Skill level: Beginner, the pattern is highly detailed, beginners are welcome to try it

Materials:
1. Yarn: Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, 100 gr. mid weight yarn. Naturally, you can try the pattern with different yarns and hook sizes to get the softness/denseness you prefer.
In the rainbow example shown, yarn in 7 colours was used (6 rainbow colours and white), the amount of DK yarn required is detailed in the pattern.

1. Size 4mm (metric), G/6 (US) crochet hook.
2. Scissors.
3. Tapestry needle.
