Rainbow Twirly Skirt
My grand-daughter asked for a twirly skirt in rainbow colours so I adapted a couple of patterns and came up with this made with Stylecraft Special DK. I purchased 7 x 100g balls and there have been 4 skirts made from that amount!
Gauge isn’t really important and size can easily be adjusted to fit a larger child by adding a few more stitches when casting on - the increases will be the same. The ones I have made will fit a 6 year old but I added elastic to the waist as she’s a very petite girl :)
I didn’t measure the yardage of the yarn used but in total I used about 25g (some slightly more, some slightly less) of each colour although of course it could just be made in a single colour if required or even a two coloured stripe :)
Go ahead, play around with the stripes etc as I’ve done in the second one. I’d love to see some different designs :)
