These mitts were originally designed as part of the Rowan Pure Wool Pickle samplers at Jimmy Beans Wool. The pattern has now been expanded to include a matching hat pattern and can be knit using the 15-yard Malabrigo Worsted Merino Samplers from Jimmy Beans Wool. Or, get creative and use up those bits and ends of worsted weight yarn!

Both hat and mitts can be made in S, M, or L sizes.

The mitts feature 10 colors while the hat has one additional blue (noted above) for 11 stripes & an extra slouchy fit. You can easily use just 9 or 10 colors for your hat, or knit fewer rows in each segment for a shorter hat.

You can knit EITHER the hat or the mitts in any size using just one 15 yard mini skien of each color list. A full set of both hat and mitts uses for 2 mini’s in each color listed, one for the hat, and one for the mitts.
