A crochet pattern designed to make a deep pocket hanging basket with a beautiful raindrop shape!

Gauge is not important, but your tension may affect the finished size of the product.

The pattern works best with cotton rope, it was designed with Bobbiny 5mm premium braided cotton used with a 10mm crochet hook; this makes a basket approximately 31cm in length and 21cm at the widest point.

You will need:

• 50 metres of 5mm braided cotton rope
• 10mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Optional: 5.5cm wooden hoop

The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners; you will need to know how to make a magic ring and how to increase and decrease stitches. There are detailed photographic instructions showing you how to finish the basket with both a a wooden hoop and a crocheted hanging loop.

The pattern was also tested with 3mm braided cord and a 7mm hook, making a basket 22cm in length and 14cm at the widest point. This option uses approximately 33 metres of rope.
