The Rainfall shawl is an asymmetrical shawl pattern that uses a simple stitch pattern to big effect! It’s knit with the wonderfully squishy Bunting DK, a 100% Falkland Island Corriedale 4 ply yarn that is stocked by Beehive Wool Shop. This shawl was designed for the April 2023 Small Bird Workshop pop-up at Beehive Wool Shop! And, they’ve got kits available!

This shawl celebrates little stitches. Rainfall uses one of Catherine’s favourite stitches, the Estonian Button, and the sister pattern to this shawl, Starfall, uses a cross-stitch stitch. Instructions for both stitches have been included so that you can mix and match as you’d like, but just be aware that they have different gauges and use a different amount of yardage, so it’s a good idea to weigh your yarn so you don’t have to play yarn chicken.

As Rainfall and Starfall are sister patterns (they differ in size), purchase one and get the other for 50% off with the coupon code “sister”! If you’ve already purchased Starfall, no problem - the cart will automatically adjust the price. Or, if you’d like just the Rainfall pattern, use the coupon code “rainfall” for 20% off. These codes expire on May 9, 2023, at midnight (PST)!

This pattern includes charted instructions only. Written instructions will be added soon!
