Rainstorm Shawl
A simple and elegant all over lace pattern defines the Rainstorm Shawl. Knit from the top down, delicate yarn overs in small groups create the image of falling raindrops that pool in a graceful border that is relaxing and fun to knit. Malabrigo’s single ply Mechita creates a beautiful, soft shawl that is a joy to wear.
Yarn
2 skeins of Malabrigo Mechita (100% superwash merino wool, 420 yards per skein) in colourway Unicornio, or approximately 650 yards of fingering weight yarn.
Needles
US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles with long cord to hold a
large number of stitches (at least 40 inches/100 cm long)
Gauge
24 stitches and 21 rows for 4” in stockinette
Finished Measurements
58.5” wingspan and 21.5” depth at centre
