Raisins Hood is a fitted unisex hood/balaclava. This stylish accessory will keep your head warm, and it will definitely add some cozy vibes to your autumn/winter outfit.
Raisins hood was inspired by vintage hoods and purl “bumps” in broken rib textures remaining small raisins.
It worked pretty fast using aran weight yarn held double or chunky weight yarn and large needles.
It’s a perfect small project for last minute knitting gift.

Hood is worked bottom up seamlessly, in the round for ribbing and flat for body.
Once decreases for head shaping are finished, live stitches are grafted using Kitchener stitch.
The last touch is ribbing for face opening are worked in the round.

Original yarn
2 balls / 100 g of Peru Yarna (45% merino wool, 25% baby alpaca, 30% polyamide; 50g / 1.8oz – 60m / 66 yds; color white) worked single-stranded;
Or
2 balls / 100g of Drops Air (65% alpaca, 7% merino wool, 28% nylon; 50g / 1.8oz – 150m / 164 yds) worked holding two strands of yarn together;
Yardage: approx 100 (110,120) m / 109 (120, 131) yds of similar chunky weight yarn worked single-stranded or approx 200 (220, 240) m /
