Rangeline is a modern, striped sweater inspired by the large trees in my backyard. Cables within the color stripes create a bark-like effect. Hinterland Yarn’s lovely Range yarn enables the pattern to drape nicely and allows the cable definition to stand out. Rangeline is a classic sweater you can wear in a multitude of ways.

This drop shoulder sweater is knit from the top-down in the round. The sweater begins by working the back shoulders and knitting to the back underarm. Then stitches are picked up for the front shoulder, which are worked one at a time. From there, both front sides are joined and stitches cast on for the bottom of the front neck and worked to the front underarm length. Then front and back are joined at the underarms to knit in the round. The body is worked in the round, finished with a bottom hem trim rib. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole edge and worked in the round to the cuff. Stitches are picked up around the neck edge and worked in a rib trim.
