This 4ply poncho will look best in a monochrome palette with the bottom of the sea and island being the darkest shade, the sea and top of the sky in the mid tone, and the lower sky knit in the palest shade. You will need two 100g skeins of the dark, and one each of the mid and pale. You will have some yarn remaining of each colour. (Some 4ply has low yardage so please check that you will have enough before you start).

The pattern calls for 1x1 tubular rib cast on and bind off. If you do not wish to use that method you can use another stretchy cast on and bind off but your edging will not have the neat rolled finish as in the pictures.

COL1 (darkest) approx 515yd;
COL2 (middle) approx 375yd;
COL3 (lightest) approx 350yd
3mm & 2.5mm circular knitting needles (80cm cable suggested)

sample measurements after blocking (laid flat):
neck opening: 35cm; bottom hem: 75cm; length: 50cm
