Rangoli
Inspired by the festive and colorful artform of Rangoli, the art of making beautiful designs on floors and courtyards, this shawl is knit top down from the center out in a combination of lace and slipped stitches. The border is worked in a stitch pattern that combines lace and slipped stitches. All the stitch patterns use 2 colors but only one color is worked at a time.
The pattern may be worked from charts or written instructions. The pattern is written for 2 sizes with detailed instructions for color and size modifications. Make the design your own by working it with as few as 2 colors or with a little bit of every color in your stash!
