Ranka
Ranka, a Finnish word meaning a structure like spine, which reminds the centre of the shawl is. Ranka is a similar shawl to my other design Ruoto.
Size: ~250x70cm
Needles: Circular needles – 100cm 3,5 mm
Yarn: 50g / 350 m
I would recommend choosing two high contrast colours.
Yarn used:
Main colour:
2 skeins of Holst Garn Coast 50g (55% Merino wool 45% Cotton) in Charcoal. 700m / 100g was used.
Contrast colour:
2 skeins of Holst Garn Coast 50g (55% Merino wool 45% Cotton) in Ecru. 490m / 70g was used.
Gauge:In garter stitch 10x10cm = 22 sts x 44 rows
Other: Tapestry needle, scissors
If you want to you can use stitch markers on both sides of centre stitch.
