Ranka
Ranka is pair of traditional colorwork mittens worked with a thumb gusset for a great fit. The twisting plants of the forest were the inspiration for the motif of the back of the hand. This inspiration has also given these mittens their name - Ranka is the Swedish word for bine. The swirly motif of Ranka will look equally good in high contrasting colors as in two shades of the same color.
The pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters and adventurous beginners. Specific required skills are listed below. Colorwork pattern is charted only.
