Raspberry Beret
After I finished the Uphill/Downhill Blanket there was some leftover skeins of a raspberry colored bulky yarn. As I was putting it away it came to me, a raspberry beret. The voice of Prince was then stuck it my head the rest of the day and the decision was made. The next pattern is a Raspberry Beret!
The increases and decreases form voluminous pleats. The depth is shallow, which gives a more tailored structure.
The finished beret uses approx. 125g of bulky yarn. I used Knit Picks Brava Bulky, you will need two skeins.
This is knitted on circular needles, which eliminates any seams. When the decreases get tight on the cords, switch to double point needles.
I recommend using the cable cast on to give the ribbed band a little extra stretch.
