Rati the Merlion - 16 Page PDF

Rati has never needed anything but the ocean and his freedom.
Little is known about the wilds in which Rati swims. Some say he just disappears, but every time he returns he always has a favorite shell or two in hand. He likes to leave them right where we first met, how sweet. Do you like collecting seashells?

This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms, with step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished lion will measure around 22cm/8.6” tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You’ll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• half double crochet
• double crochet
• increase/decrease
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch
You will need the following materials:

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
1 ball of each colour (you won’t need full balls): Wisteria (1432), Lavender (1188) and White (1001).

2.0mm crochet hook
12mm black safety eyes
Soft stuffing/ Fibrefill
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Dressmaker pins
Scissors
