These socks are worked from the toe up with heel flaps.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method.
You can choose from 2 types of stitches for the instep:
Woven Flower Stitch, which looks like a woven strawflower, and Wicker Stripe Stitch which looks like a simple wicker stripe.
The heel flap is worked with “Rattan Stitch” to create a rattan-like texture.
