Materials Needed:
5mm Hook for Child Size
6mm Hook for Women’s M/L
Worsted #4 weight yarn – XX yards
Sewing needle

This comes in sizes Child 3-10 years (Women’s M/L). Follow the coordinated color in the pattern for whatever size you choose to make.

Finished glove dimensions are 3.75 (4.25)“ at the widest, 3.25 (3.75)” wide at the cuff, and 6.5 (7.5)“ tall when flattened and lightly stretched.

Notes:
You need to be able to find the 3rd loop of a stitch to work into.
Placement of where you insert your hook is very important for the texture of this design.
Beginning chain of each row does Not count as a stitch in the row count.
Beginning in R4 of the Mitten Body, even rows are the Right Side of your project, making odd rows the Wrong side.

Gauge:
8 sc blo x 7 rows = 2x2”

Abbreviations & Terms - US Terminology:
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Tri St – trinity stitch
Tmod – trinity stitch modification
Tdec – trinity st decrease
Dec - decrease
Blo - back loop only
Sl st - slip stitch

St – stitch

RS – right side

Join - sl st where directed
FO - finish off

Trinity St (Tri st) –
R1. Insert hook into same sp as turning ch and pull up a loop (2 loops), insert hook and pull up a loop in the next 2 sts (4 loops), yo and pull through all 4 loops on hook, ch1 (trinity st completed). Insert hook into the same st as last leg of previous st and pull up a loop, insert hook and pull up a loop in the next 2 sts (4 loops), yo and pull through all 4 loops on hook, ch 1.
R2 and each row forward. Insert hook into same st as turning ch and pull up a loop, insert hook into the top of the next trinity st and pull up a loop, insert hook into the next ch1 sp and pull up a loop (4 loops), yo and pull through all 4 loops on hook, ch 1. Insert hook into the ch1 sp with the last leg of your previous trinity st and pull up a loop, insert hook into next trinity st and pull up a loop, insert hook into the next ch1 sp and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook), yo, pull through all 4 loops on hook, ch 1.

Trinity Decrease (Tdec) - Insert hook into same sp as turning ch and pull up a loop (2 loops), insert hook and pull up a loop in the next 3 sts (5 loops), yo and pull through all 5 loops on hook, ch1 (trinity st decrease completed). Insert hook into the same st as last leg of previous st and pull up a loop, insert hook and pull up a loop in the next 3 sts (5 loops), yo and pull through all 5 loops on hook, ch 1.
