Ravenna Socks
Inspired in part by my Ravenna Shawl, these top-down socks are designed using only knits and purls so they work up quickly and create a lovely textured fabric. Because of the subtlety of the stitch designs, a solid or semi-solid yarn is recommended to best show off the pattern. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable to wear and are perfect for men or women.
Helpful Hint: One tester found that she needed to go down a needle size for the “B” charts in order to get a tighter fabric, other testers found it works out fine once worn. If you’re concerned about the fabric of the “B” charts being too big, try going down a needle size.
