Raw Diamond hat
December 2021: I hope that you find the timing of this hat-pattern perfect:)
I spent 2 nights knitting the sample, which means that a Holiday gift is worked up in no time.
The lace-patterns of my beanie are inspired by my newly released sweater-pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/raw-diamond-2.

Size
The hat is one-size. Worked at gauge (24 sts) the size would suit an average adult.
Worked at gauge the circumference of the hat will be 46.5 cm/18.50 (unstretched). The height of the hat is 21 cm/8.25”, from the cast-on edge to the top of the crown.
Materials
Yarn: I used ”Loft”, in the colour-way “Fossil” from Brooklyn Tweed, to work the hat. This yarn comes in skeins of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 251 m/275 yards. This yarn is listed as a fingering weight yarn. This is not a typical fingering weight yarn, and I do recommend that if you are not using this specific yarn that you choose a yarn that works up to gauge.
Of this specific yarn you will need approximately 150 m/165 yards. Needles: a circular needle, 40 cm/16”, size 3 mm/US2.5 to work the brim, a circular needle, 40 cm/16”, size 3.5 mm/US4 to work the main body of the hat. Notions: removable stitch-marker, tapestry needle, blocking tools, row-counter
Gauge
24 sts and 34 - 36 rounds in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”.
The construction
The hat is worked bottom-up and in-the-round.
The pattern:
The lace and stitch-patterns are written out round-by-round, as well as charted.
Errata (regarding the first downloads only):
Round 14: written instructions should read sl1, k2tog, psso instead of ssk
Round 19: (k1, p5, k3, p5)
