Just in time for Father’s Day!! Perfect project for the outdoor lover, or gifting to your favorite fisherman!! Provided you know all the stitches listed below you can master this gnome easily. Pattern includes written instructions as well as photos for sewing reference.
Materials
• 5.5 mm/I-9 hook
• 4 ply medium weight (worsted) yarn
Red Heart Super Saver in tea leaf, buff, green tones, white, aran, and baby pink
• Tapestry Needle
• Polyester fiber fill
• Stitch Marker
• Small tree branch – for fishing pole
• String or Twine for fishing line
Pattern Notes
• This pattern is worked in rounds, do not join rounds unless indicated, use stitch marker at end of each round, if needed to help keep your place.
• Assemble as pieces are completed, instructions are with respective pieces
Stitches
• SC – single crochet
• CH – chain
• SC INC – single crochet increase (2 SC in one stitch)
• SC DEC – single crochet decrease (insert hook, yarn over, pull up loop, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over, pull up loop, yarn over and pull through all three loops on hook)
• BLO SC – single crochet in the back loop only
• BLO SC INC – two single crochet in the back loop only of the next stitch
• DC – double crochet
