The rain was a big part of Swedish summer 2015 when I knit this shawl. Therefore the shawl’s name is Rayn. Rayn – not rain, because I like to play with yarn, knitting needles and words.

The shawl is knit in one piece from top down. Shaping is done by increasing. It is worked with contrasting stripes in two colours and two types of yarn: mohair and organic silk.
It’s important to use two different type of yarn to get this interesting effect.

The pattern is written pattern and includes some video tutorials.

Yarn:
Colour 1: Lana Gatto Silk Mohair - 403 meters (441 yards), 47 g
Colour 2: ITO Kinu - 170 meters (186 yards), 20 g

Needles: 3.5 mm

Gauge: is not important. You will have a bigger or smaller shawl depending on your yarn.

Finished Measurements: 19065 cm (7525 in) - blocked.
If you wish smaller shawl knit the lace border earlier - instruction in the pattern.
