Rayonnant Pullover
I have gotten this question from quite a few people, so I’m copying the latest PM here in hopes that my answer will help future knitters of this sweater! :)
I am trying to knit this beautiful sweater and I don’t know if I am over thinking over have brain fog but I am confusing with the chart first row. I have ripped it out twice but can’t seem to get it right.
I know you begin with yo, ktbl, yo then do the 12 stitch pattern I get that but I think what is confusing me is I am repeating this twice for 28 stitches so do I do the last yo, ktbl yo then go through the chart again from the beginning for the second in these 28 stitches?
Then the next set is 44 sts, do I start with the yo, ktbl, you the 12 sts. and end with yo, ktbl, yo? Then do this 2 more times for the 44 total?
I think what is really confusing me is ending with the yo, ktbl, yo and then starting it again for the repeat.
This has confused many people! There is a stitch column to the far right of the chart, and this must be repeated as well. It’s so easy to pass by it because of the way the chart is configured, but just remember to repeat the entire chart 4 times, with the correct number of reps of the middle section for the sleeves and front and back. That line of sts on the right of the chart is the line of sts between the YOs (creating the raglan shaping) that you see in the picture. HTH!
