Complete pattern instructions included to make this cowl in DK weight or fingering weight! A very versatile pattern you’ll want on cast on and knit again and again!

A fun, completely gender neutral cowl! Looks wonderful on women and men alike!

The name of this cowl comes from two places. First, the staggered ribbing looks like sun rays, beaming bright. Second, I wanted to design a cowl my sweet husband would actually wear. Since most of my patterns are quite feminine, I wanted to make a design he would want to wear. He loves it, which makes me so happy!

This is the perfect gift knitting pattern! Make it for everyone you know! A great choice for keeping everyone warm on our gift list!

Most of the cowl is twisted rib, so I would suggest using one needle size up than you normally would, due to the ribbing. This will give you a comfortable fit, not too tight. The entire cowl is knit and then worn inside out to show the reverse stockinette, which is just a fancy term for back purl bumps. It really makes the design pop on the backside. The choice on which side this hat is worn is completely up to you of course, but this is just how it was designed. Just be sure to be careful weaving in your ends so can wear your new knitwear either way! I hope you enjoy it!

Thank you so much for supporting my small business and small family! We truly appreciate you!
Happy Knitting! Love, Molly xoxo
