These cute shorts/pants are the perfect photo prop. The newborn knit pant is a very trendy photo prop right now.

I designed these pants for optimal comfort for baby: a small gusset and short row shaping on the bum. The short row shaping makes sure that when baby is posed froggy style baby’s tushie is totally covered.

This pattern is worked with bulky weight (5) and a size 10 1/2 (7mm) double pointed needles. Instructions are for working in the round.

Stitches: knit, purl, yarn over, make 1, pick up stitch, cast on, bind off, kitchener stitch, wrap and turn, slip stitch, psso, knit 2 tog
