Reader's Wrap Shawl
A reader’s wrap is a shawl with pockets for carrying a book, chocolate, an e-Reader, or other little items that you like to take with you to your favourite reading spot. What makes this one special is the full triangle back, which provides extra warmth and coziness.
Worked almost seamlessly (small Hood seam), in one piece, and all flat except the tiny bit of trim which is worked in the round, this wrap works up very quickly in bulky weight yarn.
Materials:
- Bulky weight yarn. I used 855 (785 meters), with Tweedle Dee, by Moda Dea
- size US L-11 (8.00mm) crochet hook, or size needed to make gauge
- 4 locking stitch markers or safety pins
- Yarn needle (for stitching top of Hood closed)
Stitches & Techniques:
ch (chain), slst (slip stitch), dc (double crochet), sc (single crochet), dc2tog (double crochet 2 sts together), rev.sc (reverse sc, also called “crab stitch”), Fdc (foundation dc - OPTIONAL)
